Reflexology may be particularly helpful throughout your pregnancy by helping to combat general stress and promoting relaxation. It may also help to bring relief from 'morning sickness' and ease circulatory and digestive problems.
As your pregnancy progresses, the treatment will be modified accordingly to allow for the changes going on within your body. In the later stages treatment takes place in a well-cushioned, seated position (see picture) with your feet resting on a professional treatment stool, to allow for maximum comfort. Alternatively, you may have experienced difficulties in conceiving. To find out more about how reflexology may help you to prepare for a healthy conception, and fertility issues, please click here. I have completed post-graduate training in Maternity Reflexology through the International Federation of Reflexologists, under a practicing NHS midwife and Renée Tanner - founder of the IFR and a world-renowned reflexologist, and hold a recognised qualification (IEB Dip Maternity Reflexology).

Pre-conception and Fertility IssuesWhether you wish to prepare for trying for a baby, or you have experienced problems with conceiving, Reflexology may help your body to achieve a healthier state of balance and readiness for conception. Lifestyle and dietary advice will be given to complement the reflexology sessions, and will be an important component of your treatment programme.Where applicable, I will tailor the sessions to work with your cycle of GIFT, ZIFT, or IVF treatment. Medical fertility treatments can be highly stressful, both emotionally and physically. Reflexology may help to alleviate this stress, and so may help to support your medical treatment. This therapy may also help with male fertility issues, where caused by a low sperm count or unsupportive lifestyle choices. Again, lifestyle and dietary advice will be a crucial part of your treatment. If you would like to know more, please feel free to call me or make an appointment to come to my practice to discuss this further, without obligation*. * All information provided is treated with the strictest confidence.
