Head to Toe Healing

This treatment combines the techniques of three very popular therapies - reflexology, Indian head massage and Reiki - for a total relaxation experience. Elements of the three treatments are combined together so that they can complement each other effectively, without over-stimulating any one part of the body. 'Head to Toe Healing' takes place on a treatment couch, and will leave you feeling relaxed, de-stressed, and totally balanced.

If you have not been treated by me before, I will first take a full medical history*. This will take about 15 minutes. The duration of the treatment itself will be 1 ½ hrs.

facial First you will receive massage to the shoulders, arms, hands, neck and scalp, to ease out any tension and encourage relaxation in these areas. Then you will receive a facial massage, which will work on meridian lines and acupressure points, to promote blood and upper lymphatic circulation, decongest the sinuses, tone up your facial muscles, and help free up your vital energy flow. Meridians are pathways through which energy flows. Acupressure points act as valves for this flow of vital energy.
reflexology Then I will work on your feet, starting with a warm-up massage and gentle manipulation. This will be followed by the application of a reflexology technique to help decongest, relax and energise the spine, joints, digestive system and lower lymphatic system. Treatment of these areas will ease general aches and pains, assist in the removal of toxins, encourage blood and lymphatic circulation and help improve general nerve function. Working on your digestive system will encourage more efficient assimilation of nutrients and waste elimination, essential for the healthy maintenance of all your body's systems.
chakra balance Finally, the session will conclude with a chakra balance. Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning 'wheel', or 'vortex'.There are seven main chakras, or energy centres, located in the head and trunk of the body, which function as transmitters and receivers of life force energy, or 'prana'. Each chakra acts like a vortex for this energy, spinning at different speeds, depending on their location. To ensure good physical and mental wellbeing, all the chakras need to be open, unblocked and in balance with each other.
